How did this sculpture commission come to be? |
| As a part of the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Celebration, funding was set aside for three sculptures in the state of Kentucky. Louisville, Hodgenville, and Springfield were chosen as sites for these projects. Funding for the Abraham Lincoln Sculpture projects is provided by the Kentucky Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission through the Kentucky Arts Council. |
